the #BLACKLIVESMATTER
movement needs a FACE
I want to listen to you to get more educated and educate others. I want you to feel seen and heard!

I’m not black, but I see you

I’m not black, but I hear you

I’m not black, but I mourn with you

I’m not black, but I’ll fight for you

About the project

I’m white and PRIVILEGED, I refuse to be silent while others don’t have the privilege to speak about the injustices happening. It’s time to step up and make a change. I want to use my creative voice and invite 46 black women and men to my studio and capture their beauty. I want to show you, that you are beautiful the way you are and that you are seen. I want to listen to your stories, to understand and educate myself and others. I want to know, what it means to be black, what struggles you have.

Why 46 – #georgefloyd was only 46 when he died, he was struggling to breathe as he was pinned to the ground by a white Minneapolis police officer’s knee pressing into his neck. Wake up! Stop racism!
