maternity boudoir photography, your bump, your body

A different kind of maternity portrait

Most maternity photography happens outdoors, fully dressed, at golden hour, with a focus on the milestone rather than the person living it. Maternity boudoir photography asks a different question: what does it feel like to actually be in this body right now, and can we make a set of images that tells the truth about that.

Some women book a maternity boudoir session because they’ve never felt more beautiful and want proof. Others book because pregnancy has been hard on their sense of self and they want to reclaim it before the due date arrives.

You don’t need prior boudoir experience, a certain size, or a specific idea of what you want the photos to look like. My team’s job is to figure that out with you in the hours before your camera ever comes out.

28-36
weeks is the sweet spot most clients choose for theire maternity boudoir photography session.

100%
of the team present on session day is female, including photographer, hair, and makeup

200+
wardrobe pieces on hand, including maternity-specific robes, lace, and draping fabric

ZERO
AI retouching or body alteration, on this or any session, as studio policy

I booked this session six weeks before my due date, convinced I wouldn't like a single photo of myself this big. I left with the opposite problem, I liked all of them.

what a maternity boudoir photography session actually looks like

01 | HAIR AND MAKEUP

You arrive with a clean face. A professional artist does your hair and makeup on site, tailored to how you want to look in front of the camera, not how you’d get ready for a night out.

02 | STUDIO WARDROBE

You don’t need to buy or bring anything. My team pulls pieces from the studio’s maternity-friendly collection, sized and styled to fit and flatter you at your current week.

03 | POSING GUIDANCE

Every pose is demonstrated first and adjusted for what your body can comfortably hold. Lying flat, deep bends, and long standing sequences are avoided or modified as needed.

04 | PARTNER OR SOLO

Many clients invite a partner in for a portion of the session. Just as many shoot entirely solo. Either way, the studio stays closed to anyone outside your team for the duration.

05 | A GUIDED REVEAL

A week or two after your session, you come back to the studio for a guided viewing where I walk you through your favorites and help you choose what to print or keep.

your questions answered

We know a maternity boudoir session can feel like a leap. Here are the questions we hear most often from moms to be just like you, answered honestly, warmly, and without any sales pressure.

Is maternity boudoir safe at any stage of pregnancy?
Yes, for a typical, low-risk pregnancy. Posing is adjusted continuously to what feels safe and comfortable for you that day, and you’re never asked to hold a pose that causes strain. If you have a high-risk pregnancy or specific medical restrictions, mention them when booking so the session can be planned around them.
Nothing is required. The studio’s 200-plus piece wardrobe collection includes maternity-specific lingerie, robes, and draping fabric in a range of sizes. If you have a specific piece you love, you’re welcome to bring it, but most clients arrive with nothing and leave with a full wardrobe of options tried.

Yes. Your partner are more than welcome  to join your maternity session. Your partner can be present for the entire session, just a portion of it, or not at all, whichever you prefer.

Most clients shoot between 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is fully formed but comfort and mobility are still good. There’s no wrong week, though very early or very late sessions may involve more schedule flexibility on the studio’s part.

Sessions start at $1,400. Final investment depends on the collection you choose during your reveal appointment. Full pricing details are available on the studio’s pricing page.
