What to Wear for Stunning Boudoir Photos

accessorize to elevate your boudoir photos

Accessories may seem like small details, but in boudoir photos, they can make a huge impact. The right accessories add depth, sophistication, and personality.

Think delicate jewelry — subtle necklaces, bracelets, or rings catch the light and add a touch of sparkle without stealing attention from your natural beauty.

Heels instantly elongate the legs, improve posture, and create a confident, empowered stance, while garters and belts can emphasize curves and add a playful, sensual touch.

Robes, scarves, or silk fabrics draped over your shoulders or wrapped around your body can create soft, flowing lines, adding movement and a dreamy, editorial feel.

Hats, statement earrings, or even a favorite personal piece can transform a simple lingerie set into a bold fashion-forward look.

boudoir wardrobe FAQ

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Everything clients ask before their session, from sizing to what to bring, answered so you can walk in ready to feel unstoppable.

Do I need to bring my own lingerie for boudoir photos?
No, you never have to buy a thing to have a stunning session. My studio wardrobe includes 200+ curated pieces in sizes XS–XXL, from bodysuits and corsets to robes and sweaters, so you can walk in empty-handed and still leave with dozens of gorgeous looks. That said, you’re always welcome to bring a favorite piece from home if it makes you feel like you.
The studio closet spans sizes XS through XXL. Every piece is chosen with real, diverse bodies in mind, not just one body type, so curvy, petite, athletic, full-bust, smaller-bust, and tummy-conscious clients all have flattering options built specifically for how their photos will look.

That’s exactly what the studio wardrobe is for. You’ll have access to bodysuits, lingerie sets, corsets, robes, and sweaters in neutral and bold fashion-forward styles, plus accessories to complete the look. We’ll pick pieces together during your consultation based on your body type and the vibe you want, so nothing is left to guess.

Structured bodysuits, underwire lingerie, corsets or bustiers, high-waisted bottoms, and wrap robes tend to work beautifully, they sculpt and define the waistline while showing off curves confidently in front of the camera.

Most clients wear 3–5 outfit changes during a session, often a mix from the studio wardrobe and one or two personal pieces. This gives enough variety to move from soft and romantic to bold and edgy without feeling rushed between looks.

Robes are one of the most versatile pieces you can shoot in. A sheer lace robe, silk kimono, or long satin robe creates soft, flowing lines and an editorial feel, and it’s an easy way to ease into the shoot before moving into lingerie or a bodysuit.

Delicate jewelry, heels, and a robe or scarf go a long way. Heels elongate the legs and improve posture, subtle jewelry catches the light without stealing focus, and draped fabrics add movement and dimension to your photos. If you have a favorite personal piece, a hat, statement earrings, a family heirloom bring it to your boudoir session.

Yes. Hygiene is non-negotiable, every piece is laundered or sanitized between uses, and many bodysuits and bottoms are worn with your own undergarments underneath for comfort and cleanliness.

Favorite online options include Savage X Fenty, Honey Birdette, Thistle & Spire, Journelle, La Perla, Bluebella, Playful Promises, Fleur du Mal, Lounge, Curvy Kate, and Bravissimo. Locally in San Diego, Honey Birdette and Intimissimi (UTC), Bras & Honey (Mission Valley), Rumeur Lingerie (Del Mar Heights), Victoria’s Secret, and Soma (Carmel Mountain Ranch) are all great picks.
That’s completely normal, and it’s exactly what your consultation is for. We’ll go through the studio wardrobe together beforehand, talk through what makes you feel confident, and build a plan so you never have to walk in wondering what to wear. Nothing about your wardrobe should feel stressful by the time your session starts.
